In this day and age; the Malawian music industry has evolved or let's say grown (with not much evolution) and each passing day is yet another opportunity for whoever is making noise that week to crown themselves KING without any public input whatsoever. But there happen to be some selected talented individuals amongst the noise and the multitudes that tend to make one wonder why the spotlight is set on individuals that do not deserve this attention at all and not them. One of such special cases is a young man named VINO who in my honest opinion just might be what the Malawian music industry needs. Let me tell you why.

One would wonder .. WHAT IS WITH THE JACKET AND TEE SHIRT? When it seems everyone else is surely dressed up accordingly for the vibrant performance? STANDING OUT! That is what Vino has always managed to do as far as his music is concerned. A talented young man who always shows up with a checkmate when others seem to be busy with figuring out their next step with checkers. Known for his unique, culturally rooted sound that expresses Malawian identity, definitely moving away from the usual "tending" technique that many artists use, he is definitely an artist that would and should join your playlists without hesitation.

One thing that you should always look forward to is music that boldly represents where he comes from and it was no surprise when he released "Atumbuka" just about a month ago. A hit? Oh, better than that, an absolute anthem! With 10,000 views in just a month on YouTube, it definitely does attract one's attention as to who this young man is. Perhaps let us let his music speak for itself at this point.

Absolute Tumbuka excellence; representing the North with such valor and esteem. One might assume that perhaps this was just pure luck until you come across his previous releases such as "Zaninge" with Leslie Moyo as well as "Wani Kwacha" which encourages education, focus and moral values through a clear development of distinct Malawian sound fused with pure rap talent that gives us hope of the next generation to come. Vino is no ordinary talent. He just might be the future of the Northern sound.

At the end of it all, this just might be my personal opinion but once you dive into the clear artistry of this young man, you may choose to agree with me on this one.

I definitely could not help it after listening to his recent release which seems to be yet a December banger that we never thought we needed. If you have a minute, check it out below and if you believe he just might be the next new artist on the charts in 2026, giving him a follow or subscribe just might be the smart thing to do. Real talent is uncompromised. Vino has showed us that. Continue the amazing work young king. We definitely see the amazing work you got going on.
